Let the drum rolls began, as the Critics’ Choice Awards released the list of television nominations for the 25th Critics’ Choice Awards!
What people cannot help but to notice on the list, that there are three shows leading the nominations; When They See Us (Netflix four-part series), This is Us (NBC broadcast drama), and Schitt’s Creek (Pop TV). According to Variety, ‘When They See Us’ is at the top of the race coming through with six nominations total, the race is then followed by both ‘Schitt’s Creek’ and ‘This is Us’ coming in with five nominations total. These shows have earned their spot without a doubt, especially with When They See Us (directed by Ava DuVernay) pushing Netflix into the top earner spot this year, leading Netflix to earn 61 nominations total for television and film.
The 25th Critics’ Choice Awards will be produced by Bob Bain Productions. E News stated that the show is set to air January 12th, 2020 with Taye Diggs being the returning host. It will be airing on CW at 7 p.m. Will you be tuning in?
