The name of the show may be broad about the era of your twenties, but the details the writer invested to appeal to every twenty-something-year-old world is amazing.

BET show “Twenties” season 2 touches on many triumphs and highs of transitioning into a career with your best friends to help you along the way. Stars Jonica “JoJo” T. Gibbs, Christina Elmore, and Gabrielle Graham sat down with JaGurl TV to discuss the upcoming season, tough love, and striving for your dreams.

Gibbs, who plays Hattie on the show, opened up about the struggles she faced as she matriculated through different careers like her character in the show.

“In my journey I’ve had so many jobs, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do,” said Gibbs. “You have to create a plan, grind it out then jump back into it.”

Along the journey, Jojo emphasizes how tough love is important to live, and her co-stars Christina Elmore and Gabrielle Graham who play bestie Nia and Marie opened up about the need of being honest and open in friendships. 

“Love comes out in different ways, it doesn’t have to sound nice but it has to be honest,” Graham said.
