Travis Scott to Cover Funeral Cost and Provide Free Mental Health Care Amid Astroworld Tragedy

The funeral expenses for the eight victims who were killed in a crowd surge at Astroworld music festival will be paid by Travis Scott. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused a stampede to occur during Travis Scott’s performance at the Astroworld music festival in Houston on November 5th.

Several lawsuits are pending against Scott, who was performing at the time of the horrific event. Fans are accusing him of failing to prevent the events that took place. Following those emotional events, Travis Scott took to social media to announce that he would be partnering with mental health organizations to aid and assist anyone that was mentally impacted by what took place.

Each organization will offer several different initiatives from grief counseling, to one-on-one sessions with licensed therapists. Among those mental health organizations are the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Mental Health America National, and MHA’ Greater Houston Chapter.

Assisting those affected with their grieving and recovery process seems to be an ultimate goal for Scott. In the midst of tragedy and backlash Scott shows vulnerability and an eagerness to help those who suffered from the harrowing events surrounding his recent concert.
