Actor, director, producer, and screenwriter Tyler Perry will be collaborating with BET to bring an informative special called “COVID-19 Vaccine and the Black Community: A Tyler Perry Special,” which will address concerns and fears of the COVID-19 vaccination.
According to BET, Perry announced on Tuesday, January 26, that the news special will be premiering Thursday, January 28, at 9 PM ET/PT on BET and BET Her.
The half-hour special will consist of Perry talking to experts in the medical field to address the public’s concerns and fears regarding the vaccine.
Carlos del Rio, MD Executive Associate Dean, Emory School of Medicine at Grady Health System, and Kimberly Dyan Manning, MD Professor of Medicine at Grady Health System will be providing factual information to viewers. In addition, they will discuss how they have protected themselves in these unprecedented times while answering questions from Perry that will help the black community gain needed insight on the vaccine.
