Wiz Khalifa is giving back to students in Los Angeles who aspire to have a career in the music business. According to Variety.com, Khalifa surprised a group of students at Los Angeles Eliot Arts Magnet Academy on February 13, 2020 with a donation of musical instruments. The donation was revealed through a partnership with the national music education nonprofit, Little Kids Rock. The organization shared the news of the surprise with an Instagram post.
Little Kids Rockâs mission is to bring inclusive and culturally relevant music education programs to schools across Pasadena and L.A. âLearning from award-winning recording artists like Wiz means the world to our students and inspires them to keep working towards fulfilling their dreams,â said Lori Touloumian, Eliot Arts Magnet Academy principal. She continued, âWe are incredibly grateful to Little Kids Rock for bringing these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to our students and encouraging their endeavors in music education.â
Khalifa is proud of his efforts in helping students get access to the same opportunities he had growing up since music has always been a part of him âMusic has always been a huge part of my life. I want to make sure that the kids of todayâs generation get the same if not better opportunities that I got. It has been great to make this happen with Little Kids Rockâ, says Khalifa in a statement.
