Rapper YG Uses Over 50,000 Los Angeles Protesters for New Music Video

On Sunday, rapper YG joined forces with Los Angeles protesters in honor of George Floyd. The murder inspired his new “F**k the Police” music video, which included over 50,000 peaceful protesters. According to TMZ, this has been the largest protest demonstration in L.A. so far.

YG partnered with Black Lives Matter L.A. and co-founder of the movement, Patrisse Cullors, to further explain the importance of using his platform to spread awareness.

TMZ reports, that many high-profile celebrities were in attendance that day such as Jamie FoxxJennifer Lopez, Alex RodriguezMachine Gun KellyVanessa Hudgens,  Michael Rappaport, Karreuche Tran, and Marlon Wayans. Other celebrities such as Russell WestbrookCassie and Alex Fine were spotted at separate protest in different parts of LA.

This protest was followed after a series of successful demonstrations that occurred last week which ended in front of Mayor Eric Garcetti’s home.

Shortly after that protest Garcetti announced that he was removing $150 million from the LAPD’s budget. This effort is in support of those lives lost and contribute to the end of systematic racism within the justice system, and police brutality.
