Leading up to the 2020 presidential election, Michael Kors released a special edition t-shirt and sweater encouraging voter participation. All profits from the t-shirt and sweater release will go towards supporting the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
“Our greatest right and privilege as Americans is the right to have our voices heard,” Kors said in a statement. “Voting is the ultimate way to make sure that your voice is not lost. These T-shirts and sweaters are a reminder for all Americans to vote and not let their voices be extinguished. It’s also an opportunity to raise money for social justice.”
Kors partnered with Black-owned business FKSP, founded and operated by African American Fashion designer Folake Kuye Huntoon, to produce the T-shirt. The t-shirt features the phrase “Your Voice Matters” on the front and “Vote” on the back that priced at $45.
The Micheal Kors Collection cashmere intarsia sweater says “Vote” in bold letters on the front and retails for $850.
Both items are now available online and in select stores. Click here to visit the site and learn more ways the designer is encouraging voter participation.
